Following an unsuccessful search by our client directly into the market, Summit was approached, via a recommendation, to identify a Construction Director to work specifically on all construction elements of a major new and high-profile office building in the City of London.
Of key importance to our client was personal credibility; the candidate had to be a strong relationship builder. He or she needed to be more than comfortable directing in-house colleagues but, importantly, external parties and advisors too.
As Summit was aware that the client had already spoken to a number of candidates regarding the opportunity, a heavy reliance was made of our extensive referral network. This formed part of a full Executive Search process.
Although a candidate was offered the role, on this occasion a counter-offer was accepted. As a result, a Consultant was drafted in to the post for the tenure of the build.
