Specifically, the role will be to lead the activities of M&G Real Estate’s Portfolio Management Team. With over £24.5 billion of real estate assets under management in the UK and internationally, this is an outstanding opportunity to establish your career within a leading global asset manager. This is considered a senior hire so relevant candidates will, therefore, need to display strong leadership skills and currently be managing a diverse team.
Reporting directly to the COO, the role involves managing an experienced team and will be responsible for supplier relationships, financial risk & insolvency, insurance, health & safety and customer relationship management. With overall responsibility for the delivery of property management and accounting services, through an outsourced arrangement, you will therefore be a key contributor to the delivery of M&G Real Estate’s operational business objectives. Your accountabilities will include:
The Role
- Direct and manage all team activities against agreed timescales and performance standards
- Ultimate responsibility for the provision of property management and accounting services in accordance with clients’ requirements
- Lead and manage key occupier relationships in order to further enhance the quality and value of M&G RE’s service to its tenants
- Responsibility to ensure that appropriate insurance cover is in place to provide optimum protection for clients’ investment portfolios
- Prepare, manage, review and seek approval for the PM team’s business expenditure budget in accordance with the requirements of the M&G RE Board
- Develop and review Health & Safety, major incident management and business continuity plans and processes to minimise potential business and operational risks
The Profile
- MRICS qualified with at least 10 years experience in real estate asset management, supplier management and property management
- Proven people management experience and a natural ability to lead, manage and motivate an established professional team of subject matter experts
- Confident, articulate and committed team player who looks to lead and drive performance
- Motivated to execute key strategic initiatives, implement change but also willing to learn and embrace new ideas
- Customer service orientated with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- Able to display extensive property management expertise covering insurance, health & safety and supplier relationships/contract management
