A fast-growing fund management client based in Scotland was looking to hire an Investor Relations Director for their real estate team. Through a referral, they contacted Summit to assist them on this key appointment. The client required an established real estate professional with proven product development and capital raising experience.
The key issue was the need to be based in Scotland with the rest of the real estate team for at least three days of every week. Following an extensive search of the UK market, we identified a London based candidate with suitable expertise, who was willing to be flexible on location. In the closing phases the appointment was put ‘on hold’ while the parent business assessed its ‘head count’.
Over a number of months, Summit remained in close contact with the chosen candidate and kept the client updated. The recruitment freeze was subsequently lifted and the selected candidate happily accepted the position.
